Job Overview:
Hillsbridge Express Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Transportation / Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing fleet. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transportation practices across our driver and vehicle network in the GTA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of drivers, routes, and fleet assets
- Ensure full compliance with federal/provincial transportation laws (e.g. CVOR, MTO, ELD)
- Monitor driver performance, safety, and Hours of Service (HOS)
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and vehicle repairs
- Recruit, train, and onboard drivers (in collaboration with HR)
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations to resolve service issues
- Optimize routes, fuel usage, and load efficiency
- Maintain accurate fleet and compliance records (logs, inspections, permits)
- Develop safety programs and run driver meetings or audits
- Provide leadership in performance improvement, risk management, and cost control
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in fleet or transportation management
- Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian transportation regulations
- Familiarity with ELD systems, CVOR, maintenance tracking, and dispatch software
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G or higher)
- Solid computer skills (Excel, dispatch systems, fleet management software)
- Must pass a background check
